Child Safety Statement

The Queensland Child Safe Organisations Act 2024, which came into effect in 2026, introduced strengthened child safety requirements for organisations working with children. I take these responsibilities seriously and have implemented the following practices to ensure my photography services align with current child safety expectations.

I hold a valid Blue Card, and any partners or contracted photographers working with me are also required to hold appropriate clearances. I work closely with schools, clubs, and organisations to ensure my photography practices align with their policies and consent processes.

Schools

When working with schools or youth organisations, photographs are provided only to the school or directly to parents unless explicit permission has been granted for broader use. Images taken while contracted by a school or youth organisation are never used for advertising, marketing, or media purposes without clear, prior consent from parents or guardians, and images are stored securely and shared only with authorised recipients.

Events

At public events, children may be included in general crowd or event photography. However, I aim to photograph respectfully and responsibly at all times. I also recognise that organisations such as sporting clubs and community groups may be navigating these requirements, and I am happy to work with them to ensure appropriate processes are followed.
